We all need a little stardust in our lives, especially during the festive season. Check out this gorgeous picture book by Jeanne Willis and Briony May Smith to find out why.

One little girl dreams of being a star, but no matter how hard she tries, her big sister always seems to shine brighter.

To prove to her that she is a star in his eyes, Grandad takes her on a magical journey of the imagination - across star-filled skies, to dazzling planets and into beautiful oceans. Along the way, the girl discovers that everything and everyone is made of stardust and that we all shine in different ways.

Written by Jeanne Willis and beautifully illustrated by Briony May Smith, Stardust is a heartwarming picture book that would be perfect for younger children who might be feeling overshadowed by older siblings.

And we think it's pretty perfect for a whole universe of children (and adults): sky-gazers, dreamers... in fact, anyone who's ever wished upon a star.
