Calling all Reception classes in Wales… The Pori Drwy Stori explorers need your help!

Published on: 09 September 2019

In September 2019, BookTrust Cymru are launching a competition to name the Pori Drwy Stori explorers. All Reception classes in Wales can enter the name the explorers competition to win books for their school!

The name the explorer competition is timed to coincide with the launch of the updated Pori Drwy Stori Rhyme Challenge. Ten Welsh and English rhymes have been chosen to be enjoyed by Reception teachers, children and parents / carers. Teachers can choose the rhymes that best suit their class and chart their progress on the Rhyme Journey poster. At the end of the Rhyme Challenge teachers can reward each child with a Rhyme Challenge certificate!

You can watch fun and exciting videos of the explorers performing the rhymes and songs here.

The explorers are ready to take all Reception aged children in Wales on a journey through rhymes and songs as they take part in the Rhyme Challenge. They are equipped with their explorer hats and rucksacks, but they all need a name!
