BookTrust ambassador Chris Riddell has collected and illustrated a new poetry anthology - and we have a sneak peek inside.

National Poetry Day is being celebrated on 4 October this year, and we can't think of a better way to mark the occasion than with a fabulous anthology of brilliant verse.

Former Waterstones Children's Laureate Chris Riddell has put together the marvellous Poems to Live Your Life By, which includes 46 marvellous verses covering topics from musings to family and imaginings to love.

You can expect rhymes from writers old and new, with poems from the likes of William Shakespeare and Christina Rossetti alongside Nick Cave and Kate Tempest.

And, of course, they're all brought to life with brilliant illustrations by Chris himself!
