Every year, the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal awards the most distinguished illustration in books for children – and there have been some incredible winners over the years. Take a look at who's on the shortlist this year in our exclusive new gallery.
Since 1955, the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal has been awarding the very best in children's illustration.
Past winners include the mighty Levi Pinfold, Raymond Briggs, Shirley Hughes, and former Children's Laureates Quentin Blake, Anthony Browne and Chris Riddell.
