Good News virtual visit with Rashmi Sirdeshpande

Come and explore the news and what makes a story juicy enough to whizz around the world with award-winning children's author, Rashmi Sirdeshpande. We'll talk about why the news focuses so much on the negative and why it affects us the way it does (spoiler: it's because of how our brains are wired!). We'll look at fake news, how to sniff it out and how to follow the FACTS. We'll look at turning our attention to all that is GOOD in the world. Because there's a lot of it out there if you know where to look.

Good News (illustrated by Adam Hayes) was shortlisted for the Blue Peter Book Awards, it shows readers the facts about the biggest challenges we face on Earth but also the facts about the progress we've made already and the amazing people all over the world working hard to make a difference. Register today and join Rashmi for our summer term live virtual author event!
