The Big Welsh Rhyme Time will take place from Monday 26 to Friday 30 November 2018.

We’ll be spending the week celebrating rhymes and songs and all the benefits that they have for children.

Find out more about The Big Welsh Rhyme Time – listen to rhymes in English and Welsh, get tips on sharing rhymes and download your certificates.

Sharing rhymes and songs can help children develop essential language and communication skills, and can give children a headstart when they learn to read. Sharing rhymes can help children become good listeners and build their confidence to join in, as well as helping them develop listening and attention skills, and learn some great vocabulary.

Most importantly, sharing rhymes and songs is fun, easy and can be done anywhere!

Throughout the week, there will be Big Welsh Rhyme Time sessions happening across Wales. We’ll be giving out 20,000 specially designed stickers and certificates to children who take part and share rhymes and songs during the celebrations.

We’ll also be sharing lots of ideas and information about having fun with rhymes and songs, including tips for families.
