The Hundred and One Dalmatians is an absolute classic of children's books - and now it's getting a brand new picture book edition with gorgeous illustrations from Steven Lenton.

From a fresh look for Cruella de Vil to exhilarating images of dogs on the run, Steven's injected Dodie Smith's much-loved tale with even more excitement.

And now he's given us a sneaky peek at his sketchbook so we can see just how he came up with his take on one of the best villains ever to emerge from children's books.

As well as sketches of Cruella, take a peek at how he started drawing the much kinder Mrs Dearly and, of course, everyone's favourite puppies.
