With Halloween approaching, prepare to get totally creeped out by Juno Dawson and Alex T Smith...

Grave Matter by Juno Dawson and Alex T Smith

With the nights drawing in and the weather getting chillier - and, of course, with Halloween on the horizon - now seems like the perfect time to snuggle up with a scary story.

So thank goodness for Juno Dawson and Alex T Smith, who have collaborated on the brand new story Grave Matter after meeting at the Edinburgh International Literary Festival.

Obviously you're in for a treat with two heavyweights like Juno and Alex involved - and sure enough, Grave Matter will definitely be one to hook you in (though you might need a pillow to hide behind close at hand).

The story follows Samuel, who blames himself for a car accident which killed his girlfriend Eliza. His guilt drives him to black magic... but what will the consequences be? We're going to go out on a limb and say that they probably won't be good...

To get you in the mood for Grave Matter, check out our gallery to see some of Alex's stunning (and yet super, super creepy) illustrations from the book. Just... maybe leave your light on tonight, eh?
