Read what you love: vlog

Published on: 01 February 2016 Author: Phil Earle

The fantastic author Phil Earle, who's work includes the Mind the Gap and Superhero Street, became our thirteenth Writer in Residence back in 2016. In this week's vlog, Writer in Residence Phil Earle looks at the books he loved reading.

Phil Earle

The Demolition Dad writer talks about how he didn't find a book he truly loved until the age of 26 (Holes) and how he enjoyed reading Roy of the Rovers - this happens to coincide with our very own Love for Books month.

In his second vlog, Phil expands on his initial blog of reading what you love by discussing how he was slightly intimidated at school by large Charles Dickens-style books.
