The Whale Watchers

Finn’s mum has dragged him and his little brother Jesse to Scotland for the summer. She’s a marine biologist studying the minke whales in the Moray Firth. Jesse is very excited to see his favourite animals – humpback whales – but Finn is grumpy. What is the point of travelling all that way, in the rain, when they could fly somewhere exotic for their holiday?

But when they meet a girl with binoculars round her neck and a dog at her feet, and she shows them a secret lookout point, Finn cheers up. Soon, the three children are clearing the beach of litter and watching adorable seal pups. And when they find a beached minke whale, with plastic wrapped around its head, they must do everything they can to save it – even putting themselves in danger…
