BookTrust Partners bring the Magic

We reach over 1 million children in the early years with books, resources and support each year.
A huge range of professionals use our resources and support to encourage families to read together including health visitors, speech and language therapists, early years education workers, teachers, librarians, early help teams and children’s social care services.
When partners provide friendly advice and explanation and show families how to read together it really makes a difference. We know that:
- Children are more likely to be read to earlier and more often when their parents have received advice on reading during pregnancy and the first year.
- Families who were given tips on using our Bookstart Baby Packs were twice as likely to strongly agree that the packs positively changed the way they shared books, stories and rhymes with their baby.
- Families who remember a partner explaining their BookTrust packs to them, or have a demonstration are more likely to read books and share stories more with their children (90% vs 75%)
