The Fowl Twins

Publisher: HarperCollins

Twins Myles and Beckett Fowl are completely different: Myles is an intellectual but Beckett is a boy of action. Although their older brother Artemis Fowl is now on the moon, these two fill his shoes very well.

When a troll comes burrowing up through the ground to their private island, it is attacked by a rogue aristocrat in search of eternal life. The twins simultaneously find themselves captured by a menacing nun who works for the evil organisation ACRONYM. Myles and Beckett join forces with the fairies to beat ACRONYM, and use their criminal genius to escape their captors.

The narrative of this story is humorous in the style of Terry Pratchett, but may be too difficult for younger readers to follow.

Readers who persevere will find a well-developed fantasy world with a plot that is full of clever, satisfying twists and turns. It is most likely to appeal to fans of the many previous Artemis Fowl books.
