Pirate Pete: A Change-the-Story Book
Publisher: Walker Books
As Pirate Pete sails the sea in his pirate ship, he meets One-eyed Wanda and Captain Stubble, who guide him to a treasure chest containing... whatever the reader wants!
There are 30 cut-out shapes (including a doughnut, a spaceship, a crocodile and a mermaid) that can be inserted into slots on each page, so children will have endless fun creating their own imaginative tales.
Each cut-out shape has its name written on it, aiding word recognition for those just beginning to read.
There is much fun to be had with this interactive book and Sharratt's characteristic, vibrant illustrations fill every page. (Not suitable for children under 36 months, due to small parts.)

Will knows the word off by heart now and reads it to me... She keeps the excitement going with a different story every time using the interchangeable cut outs. She's laughed so hard at some of the scenarios and it's lovely to watch her getting so involved.
