First 100 Nature Words

Publisher: Priddy Books

This bright and colourful board book is a simple yet fun introduction to the world around us. With 12 environments to explore, from closer-to-home places, such as the farm and pond, to the Arctic and the savannah, this manages to pack in many different landscapes. Using a combination of illustrations and photographs, babies and toddlers are introduced to the animals that live in each environment, as well as a few plants and other features like icebergs and mountains. There are some unusual words to learn, such as ‘thorny devil’ in the Australian outback, and a ‘dragon fruit’ in the Asian jungle. This nature book is truly global.

With words to learn and repeat, and lots of interesting images to point at, young children will love sharing this board book with a trusted adult. They will soon be spotting nature everywhere they go!
