1,2,3, Do the Robot

It’s bedtime, but Layla the Inventor is not sleepy at all. So instead, she heads to her science lab, gathering bits and bobs to invent something new – a robot. But not just any old robot, an utterly fun-tastic robot who loves to dance. After they do the robot dance together, they conclude that it’ll be even more fun with another robot – so Layla and her new friend decide to make another. With a crank of the rachet here and a twist of a screw there, Layla now has two robot dance partners.

But when Layla and her robot friends make a third robot, everything starts to go terribly wrong. Can Layla use her skills to fix him and get all her friends grooving before bedtime?

The third title in Michelle Robinson’s 1,2,3 series, this is a fun imaginative picture book, perfect for future inventors. Featuring bouncy text, the rhyme and rhythm are superb, making it great to read aloud – and dance along.

Cute and wholesome illustrations by Rosalind Beardshaw are full of small details that little readers will love to explore.
