Welcome to our Partner Resource Guide
In collaboration with partners like you, who are working to help families to experience the transformative benefits of reading, we’ve developed a series of flexible resources to support you to deliver the Bookstart Toddler and Pre-schooler packs, which:
-
Outline the aims of the programme
-
Highlight the benefits of reading for families in the Early Years
-
Provide ideas for using the resources in your setting, inspired by other partners and what we know works for families
-
Help you to share what's going on in your setting with families on social media
-
Support you to deliver a local training/briefing session
We recognise that your time is precious, and you may not be able to look through all the resources in the guide, so we have identified some key elements as follows:
If you have 5 minutes you can...
If you have up to 1 hour you can...
-
Sign up for one of our upcoming webinars or watch a recording of a previous session
If you have more time...
You may want to plan and deliver a training session for colleagues gifting the resources using this presentation.

Our staff model sharing books with the children, showcasing how to read the stories interactively and to suit their child, building up their confidence. We place an emphasis on talking, playing and having fun with the books – not always having to sit quiet and still, unless the child wants to.
