Valentine's Day might have been and gone, but we've completely fallen in love with this beautiful picture book.

Meet Philip the sausage dog! He's the star of Paula Metcalf's adorable picture book Dog in Boots, which we've completely fallen for.

This lovely tale follows Philip as he pines for Penelope, a dog he sees from his window - but will he ever manage to woo her?

After all, Philip is a dachshund so small his ears brush the floor... and he's too small to reach up and kiss her, even on his tiptoes. So can he come up with a plan to make himself taller?
