Hello Hot Dog: Meet the silly sausage having the wurst day of its life

Published on: 18 April 2018 Author: Catriona Wightman

The sun might be out but if you're planning a barbecue, you might think twice about the bangers after reading the hilarious new book Hello Hot Dog.

Hello Hot Dog

This hilarious new picture book by Lily Murray - told entirely in dialogue - follows a frank as it realises that it might not be long for this world.

With images from the fantastic illustrator Jarvis, the story is a real delight that will have little ones and adults giggling together.

It all starts as the sausge realises things aren't looking good before following its brave bid for freedom - which might have a touch of the 'out of the frying pan, into the fire' about it.

If you're intrigued, check out our gallery of pages from the book below - but be warned, you may never look at a hot dog in the same way again...
