Special School Library Pack

For students with additional needs, this collection of ten books was selected by a panel of SEND practitioners.

The pack provides you with a selection of top-quality titles to support your students in reading for enjoyment, discussing books and developing a long-term love of reading. The ten books offer a wide range of styles, themes and formats to ensure there’s something for everyone.

Covering themes and topics appropriate for 11-14 year olds, the free pack includes a variety of accessible formats: sensory books, interactive books, picture books, dyslexia friendly books, short fiction, and graphic novels.

Additional practitioner guidance for each book provides ideas and advice on supporting all students to read for pleasure, no matter their reading needs, through a range of fun and sociable activities.

This pack is most suitable for students aged 11-14 with additional needs and is designed to be used flexibly in a range of school settings.
