Super Frozen Magic Forest
A mysterious snow cloud has appeared over the Super Happy Magic Forest, a place usually famed for its picnics, affordable pixie housing and general joyous frolicking, causing its inhabitants to be full of colds.
Gnomedalf, a wizard who has conveniently just moved to the area, informs Blossom the unicorn, Herbert the gnome, Hoofius the faun and Trevor the gender-neutral mushroom that the blizzard is caused by frost magic, and must be vanquished. Therefore, our intrepid band of heroes journey to the Frozen North, stopping briefly at the Elf and Dwarf Tavern for a bit of karaoke before battling some snowmen and accidentally crashing an icicle family reunion. Finally, it’s up to Herbert to face the Ice Queen and lift the spell she has cast on his home.
The third in the excellent, giggle-inducing Super Happy Magic Forest series has a distinctly Lord of the Rings homage which will amuse parents no end, and the semi-comic format is original yet accessible for young ones. There are plenty of funny details and captions to spot, whether it’s the tavern keeper asking heroes to leave reviews on Quest Advisor, a lost cat, or the return of the tea-drinking goblins from book two.
