Moo!: Play-city Rattler

Publisher: Make Believe Ideas

This is a book and toy in one! Turn the pages and then shake the rattle for a very satisfying sound. Babies will love interacting with this book. They will meet ten different farm animals, all of which have their various noises on the page with them, along with two or three named body parts. For example, the duck’s webbed feet are pointed out, as well as its beak and feathers. The illustrations are simple and very colourful, and full of appeal to a young baby.

This chunky board book is just the right size for little hands, and it has a strap to attach it to a buggy or cot. The rattle is firmly attached to the book, providing much fun even once the pages have been turned. The thick pages will bear some chewing too. A fun introduction to farm animals and the concept that books can be interactive like toys.
