Publisher: Scholastic

Donald isn’t very good at school work, but he has an amazing gift. He can see and talk to ghosts.

Donald’s family is unusual. His mum has the same gift and people often call on her to sort out troublesome ghosts. She isn’t very good at it though, it’s usually Donald who chats with the ghosts and sends them away happy. Donald’s dad has died and he IS a ghost.

Donald, his mum and his best friend, Merry, set off for a seaside holiday. But in Dorset they find an extremely ancient, angry and powerful ghost bent on causing immense destruction.

By turns humorous and touching, dramatic and silly, this is a perceptive and enjoyable story.
