After 10 years we have a sequel to Rai's Dream On, and meet Baljit as he prepares to attend a trial for Liverpool Football Club. In the earlier book we saw him offered a trial with Leicester, but Baljit has his eyes set on the bigger club, and will stop at nothing to ensure he does well in the trial. But he has big decisions to make, and he's torn between his dream, and the prospect of forcing his parents to move as well as leaving his friends behind. Baljit is no coward, as we see when racist youths threaten him.
Rai's pacy short novel, in Barrington Stoke's usual dyslexia-friendly format, grips throughout, and will particularly engage football-mad reluctant readers.
