Best Friends Forever

Lola is very nervous about starting Year 7 at the Henry Bigg Academy but at least she will have her best friend Evie by her side. The girls have been BFFs since they were babies so, even though they won’t be in the same class, Lola expects they will still spend every available minute together outside lessons. 

When reality hits and Evie starts hanging out with Cleo, who is really annoying and only interested in boys and make-up, Lola is confused. Then upset. And, finally, angry. And it’s not as if her home life is making her feel any better: her parents are divorcing and she’s having to move house.

With so much uncertainty, Lola struggles to cope until she finds loyalty and friendship in surprising places. 

This funny and touching coming-of-age story will reflect the experiences of many youngsters making the transition to secondary school or experiencing changes in the family.

Showing that friendships can be fluid and don’t always grow with us, and that this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, Lola’s first term at Henry Bigg is full of highs, lows and unexpected life lessons.
