Mr Maloney is a Weatherman, an important and powerful man. It is his task to open the door of a magical telephone box that allows one season to leave and another to begin. Without him the seasons would run wild and riot, destroying the world.

When autumn fails to arrive, the Maloneys discover an evil witch is seeking to drive out the family, take control of the weather and bring chaos.

Fortunately, the Maloneys discover friends among some strange, and some supernatural visitors, and a group of kilted conservationists. But can they placate the seasons before it's too late?
