The Best Kind of Bear

Publisher: Nosy Crow

Bear is a very sweet little bear, but he doesn’t know what type of bear he is. Spectacled? Grizzly? Polar? Needing an answer, Bear sets off to meet a variety of different bears and finds he has lots in common with all of them, but none of them are exactly right.

Grizzly bear sleeps for too long, and even though Bear loves snowsliding with Polar Bear, it’s a bit chilly out in the snow.

A little dejected, Bear returns to the library to find his friend Nelly waiting for him. Yet, Nelly knows what Bear’s stitching, bow tie and washing label mean, and Bear finds a good solution after all.

As well as being an adorable friendship story (featuring the very sweetest of teddy bears), The Best Kind of Bear also contains descriptions of four types of bears, from their environments to their food and how they play, helpful for young animal lovers.
