Ruby Redfort: Look Into My Eyes
Publisher: HarperCollins Children's Books
Ruby Redfort is no ordinary 13 year-old school girl. Blessed with an extraordinary talent for spotting things which others seldom notice, she lands an undercover job as a code-breaker for secret-spy organisation, Spectrum.
When both the Redforts’ furniture and their housekeeper go missing, mysterious 'butler' Hitch appears at their doorstep to offer his services. His arrival marks the beginning of a code-cracking quest in which Ruby attempts to thwart the plans of the evil ‘Fools Gold Gang’ to steal a priceless historic artefact.
The first of Lauren Child’s new mystery novels for older readers, Look into My Eyes surprises and delights as it takes us on an exhilarating adventure, bringing together witty humour, dastardly villains and a fabulous new teenage heroine.

RUBY REDFORT - LOOK IN TO MY EYES is a great book about a 13 year old girl who is asked to be a secret agency's' top code-cracker! I Really enjoyed this book because there was a lot of suspense and links Although it got a bit confusing about who was who at times, I really liked the abnormality of it. LAUREN CHILD is a truly brilliant author and I would encourage everyone to read it as it is interesting from the very beginning.

I think that the book Ruby Redfort is a really interesting book. I didn't think I would enjoy it as I never really read these types of books. However when I got to the end I was really surprised that I had enjoyed it. the overall plot of the story was good. At the end of each chapter I wanted to read on as I wanted to know more about what was going to happen. the author did an amazing job keeping the reader in suspense. I was hooked from the start to the end. I would definitely recommend t...

This book is an amazing start to the Ruby Redfort series which has everything from action to mystery to comedy. It is a thrill a moment with the appearance of a mysterious butler followed by an under ground organisation followed by something even more spine tingling. The plot is pure genius with so many astonishing twists. This is not the type of boring book where you can guess the ending. This is a whirlwind of amazing action and meandering mystery. It is grizzly at times but can still pu...

I really like Ruby Redfort Look into my eyes as it is a fantastic mystery book. I like how the author(Lauren Child) has used a little flashback scene before the book properly starts, which shows why Ruby, the main character, loves mystery solving and is so good at it. My favourite character is probably Hitch, Ruby's top spy who pretended to be the Redfort's butler, while their housekeeper mysteriously disappeared... I was so happy to find out that Hitch wasn't actually the villain of this ...

Personally, I think that this book was very confusing and quite complicated. It took a lot of time for me to get into the book. There were lots of different things going on in the book and I couldn't quite recall all of them and remember them. I personally wouldn't recommend this book and I don't think I'm going to read the rest of the series. I didn't enjoy reading the book and for me it wasn't exciting enough for my liking. I didn't like this book because it was quite adventurous. It was...

I think RUBY REDFORT: LOOK INTO MY EYES is a really good book because it has codes for the reader to work out and the story gets you gripped in just a few words. Another feature I like is that it has some quite interesting rules which gets you to understand the type of world she lives in. My favourite bit would have to be when Ruby is just about to get buried ALIVE and from then onwards a lot of action happens getting you really involved. I'm really glad there are sequels to this book but ...

I really enjoyed this book, I have even bought the sequel to this. I enjoyed it because it was quite thrilling and I thought it was clever, different to the books I normally read. I found it hard to put down as it was so entertaining and the plot was great! I think it was written very well and it had lots of different book styles such as humour and also thriller.

Ruby Redfort: Look into my Eyes is fast-paced and action-packed, with short, punchy chapters and hugely entertaining characters. In particular, Ruby's parents are brilliant - a strangely dull and unintelligent couple considering what a genius their daughter is. You can't help but read on and on.

As a longstanding fan of Lauren Child’s books, I looked forward to reading Ruby Redfort: Look into my Eyes and wasn’t disappointed. Smart, sassy, code-cracking Ruby is such a great heroine for keen, confident Year 7 readers.
