Jamie Grimm loves to tell jokes. His friends and his Uncle think he's so funny that he should enter the 'Planet's Funniest Kid Comic' contest. But Jamie knows that his mind might go blank when faced with an audience. Can he take the risk?
Jamie has some other problems too. He can't even talk to his new friends about how he has come to be a wheelchair user, let alone the Cool Girl he really likes.
His family are not only seriously un-funny and unsupportive, his 'stepbrother' is the school bully and Jamie's disability is no protection against his cruelty.
Sometimes funny, and often moving, Jamie's story is about a resilient boy overcoming his difficulties and following his dreams.
