How to Glow Up Your Life 15/09/24
Hug
Publisher: Walker Books
Bobo the chimp wanders sadly around the jungle looking for someone to hug, but all the animals are already cuddling someone else. With minimal text, the reader is encouraged to explore the wonderful illustrations, which speak volumes about Bobo's feelings. A lovely board book, which will surely provoke lots of hugs!

I read this book to my baby (4months) at a play group and had to order our own copy when we got home. 'Hug' is a lovely book with eye catching illustrations, it really encourages the readers imagination and you can have fun with different voices, we both love it!

My daughter loves this book, she seems to be able to emote with the monkey really well and even though the only word in the whole book is 'hug' it's a nice tale and good to discuss what else is going on in the pictures.

Its a fab book to know the emotional side of your kid. My 2 year old boy would hug the monkey on every page knowing he was lonely. A good one to teach the value of togetherness :)

We love this book! It was one of the first books we found that our baby could follow, as the narrative is told in pictures. She was spellbound from about 6 months old. Hug was one of her first words - what a positive introduction to vocabulary! A baby classic. Is there a baby laureate? Jez should be awarded it for this book!

Both of my children love this book. The pictures are great for developing my toddler's vocabulary as he describes what he sees and the baby likes listening to the story.

This book is absolutely enchanting. It's challenging for me to think up news ways to say "hug" quickly, and my 11 month old son loves it. When bobo finds his mum it's simple heart warming.

My little girl loves the pictures in hug. She is now a year old and is starting to empathise with bobo and gives me a hug when we reach the end. Lovely illustrations.

This was my Daughter's favourite bedtime book at age one. She liked how I said the word hug in different ways depending on whether Bobo was happy or sad.

My daughter and I enjoy reading this book and talking about the different animals. I have found that she enjoys the book more now she is a toddler than when she was younger.

My daughter Jovita likes the book... She is sad when Bobo is sad and gives a big hug with a great smile to me when he calls out "Mummy".. She does not want Bobo to be sad and everytime she gives him also a big hug and a kiss.

We love this book, Thomas has real empathy for Bobo and our soft toy Bobo almost gets hugged to pieces. The illustrations are superb the emotions jump off the page.

Our little one loves sharing this book. We have the original in English which Mummy reads and another copy in Welsh, called 'Cwtsh', which Daddy reads. Hugs in two languages!
