Betty: Bywyd Penderfynol Betty Campbell / Betty: The Determined Life of Betty Campbell

Publisher: Llyfrau Broga

Y llyfr diweddaraf o'r gyfres 'Enwogion o Fri' yw hwn sydd yn adrodd hanes y brifathrawes ddu gyntaf yng Nghymru, Betty Campbell. Mae'r awdur yn ein tywys o'i bywyd cynnar yn nociau Caerdydd i'r uchafbwynt o gael codi ei cherflun yng nghanol y brifddinas.

Yr awdur y tro hwn, yw Nia Morais, sef y Bardd Plant Cymru newydd. Yn y llyfr hwn mae hi'n defnyddio dull syml a chryno sydd yn berffaith ar gyfer cyfleu gwybodaeth gymhleth i ddarllenwyr ifanc.

Heb os, mae'r llyfr yn ddathliad o'r dygnwch a dewrder a ddangosodd Betty Campbell yn ystod ei bywyd ac mae'n stori bwysig i blant ei darllen a'i chlywed.

This is the latest book from the 'Enwogion o Fri' series which tells the story of Betty Campbell, the first black headmistress in Wales. The author takes us from her early life in Cardiff docks to the climax of having her statue erected in the heart of the capital.

The author this time is Nia Morais, the new Welsh Children's Poet. In this book she uses a simple and concise style that is perfect for conveying complex information to young readers.

The book is undoubtedly a celebration of the endurance and courage that Betty Campbell showed during her life and is an important story for children to read and hear.
