Strange and Ever After

Set in 19^th Century Egypy, the conclusion to The Something Strange Trilogy sees Cassandra Clare in hot pursuit of the evil necromancer Marcus who has taken her friend Jie hostage. Accompanied by Daniel and Jospeh, Cassandra must use all of her black magic to finally bring her nightmare to end.

Dennard's inclusion of Egypt in her gothic parallel-history series is a brave choice, and one that pays off, adding depth to an already rich universe. The conclusion of the series, as well as Cassandra's love triangle with Joseph and Daniel, is shocking and full of twists, and will keep fans hooked right to the final word.
