Snow Sisters: The Frozen Rainbow

Publisher: Nosy Crow

Review

Twelve-year-old triplets, Hanna, Magda and Ida, are distraught when the Shadow Witch kidnaps their parents and plots to steal the magical Everchanging Lights that illuminate the skies of the frozen island of Nordovia.

Thankfully, before she is captured, the girls’ mother conceals the Lights in three shimmering orbs and scatters them across the island for safekeeping. The resourceful sisters have already found the pink and blue orbs, but time is running out for them to locate the final, purple Light, which they believe may be hidden in the Rainbow Pools.

The girls must combine their courage, determination and unique magical skills if they are to restore the Lights to the island and save their parents. Their search is fraught with danger. As they navigate through the treacherous lava fields which heat the Rainbow Pools, they are constantly on the lookout for the Shadow Witch, who will stop at nothing to seize the magic for herself.

This is the third exciting volume in the Snow Sisters series, with a sparkling front cover and black-and-white illustrations throughout the short chapters. It is ideal for children who enjoy fantasy tales and are building their confidence as independent readers.
