Robin's Winter Song

Red and orange leaves were tumbling to the ground as Robin sang on his branch. His friends were all very busy. The finches were about to fly south. Squirrel was hiding his nuts. Bear was looking for a cosy cave. Winter is coming, his friends told him. Robin thought winter sounded scary and cold. He wanted to fly away too. But Owl told him it was much too far.  So Robin snuggled down with Bear. When Bear was fast asleep, Robin peeped out and saw that his world had turned crunchy and white and completely wonderful!
