I really enjoyed this book. At first I felt very sorry for Oliver and was pleased when he found an equally lonely Patch. Through all the fun Oliver and Patch were having, it was nice to see that they were happy, despite Patch missing his owner. Oliver deciding to do the right thing and find Patch’s owner was a good example of someone putting others before themselves. This good turn then meant that Oliver gained a friend, rather than losing one, which was a nice end to the story.
