Just Henry
Publisher: Farshore
Film fanatic Henry Dodge lives in post-war Sternsea with his fractured family. His father died a hero, saving a deserter's life.
At school, Henry avoids both Jeffries, the deserter's son, and the illegitimate Pip, until their teacher Mr Finch sets them a joint project.
Befriended at the cinema by the hospitable Mrs Beaumont, Henry is exposed to a new artistic and liberal world. He learns that people should be judged by their own actions, not those of their parents.
Then he discovers some shocking revelations about his own past and becomes part of a story as gripping as any film.
This thrilling tale follows four friends from different backgrounds as they learn to believe in themselves and their abilities.

If you love movies and history, this is a great book. Its quite long, but all the same is a great read. This book explores the stereotypical aspects of a 1940`s town life in England. Family is always there for you, even when you don`t expect it, I guess, is what I learned from this book. I`ve read this book about 5 to 10 times and I`m still not bored of it! Age:10+

Wow... I read this book and having an interest in drama has left me with a burning urge to bring this book to life in an amateur production. I wish I could give this more than five stars.
