Herman's Letter

Publisher: Bloomsbury Children's Books

Herman the bear and Henry the raccoon have been friends for as long as anyone can remember - but then Henry has to move away. The two promise to stay best friends for ever, and before long Henry is writing Herman lots of letters telling him all about everything he is doing in his new life. But when Henry wants to write back, he finds himself embarking on an epic journey through snow and up mountains in order to deliver his letter. Will he make it to Henry's door?

This is the first picture book from illustrator Tom Percival, who has previously illustrated the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy. A simple story about the importance of friendship is accompanied by cleverly laid-out pages and appealing illustrations. As perennial favourites like The Jolly Postman prove, books with flaps to lift and letters to read are always popular with children, and small readers will love following Herman on his funny journey to deliver a special letter.
