Find Spot at the Zoo

Publisher: Puffin

Spot is enjoying a day at the zoo with Mum and Dad. There’s lots to see: a zebra hides behind a bunch of balloons, a giraffe eats hay from a feeder, and there are lots of cheeky monkeys around!

But when Spot goes missing, Mum and Dad have to go looking for him. He’s not in the igloo with the polar bear or in the colourful butterfly house – where can he be? Fortunately, there’s a meeting spot at the zoo so that everyone can find each other again.

Everyone’s favourite puppy features in this lovely little board book with lots of interesting lift-the-flaps and bright illustrations. It’s great that even though this is a board book aimed at babies and toddlers, there’s still a simple story involved which adds interest.

There’s no peril felt when Spot goes astray, and in fact it’s an opportunity for us to see more of the animals at the zoo. Little ones will learn new animal names and identify with the pleasure of being out with Mum and Dad for a big adventure.
