Lovely vibrant and colourful book. Even myself I like picking up and reading it. That's why it's so lovely to kids;)

My daughter really enjoyed looking at the colourful pictures and hearing about the different types of animals

We have enjoyed reading this book and identifying all the animals - also a good size to take to read in the car.

My 4 month old is fascinated by all the colours! And he loves chewing on it too :D

My little boy loves this book. He is engaged by the colours and different animals. Now at 10 months, he regularly sits and turns the pages himself while cooing at the pictures.

This was given to us in the bookstart pack and this soon became my son's favourite book. He loves the intonation in which we read this with him and he looks so excited to see all of Elmer's friends! The bright colours and simplicity of the story are perfect.

This was our other free book in our bag at the 3-4 month check. Charlotte loves the bright colours and we are learning the noises each animal makes as we read the book

Great board book. Lots of colour and things to point out on the pages as well as a short simple story.

Very nice bock my son loved it

This was one of the first books we read to our son from 5 weeks old. He loves it, we have read it so many times we no longer need the book to tell him the story! We're going to get Elmer on his first birthday cake. It's a great book for introducing animals and the sounds they make, we'd always roar for the lion, bounce him for the kangaroo and whoo hoooooo for the owl!

My son who is 8 weeks old loved this book loved the colours smiled throughout.

My son who is 10weeks old loves this story. I started reading it to him when he was 5weeks old, he smiles everytime we read it! He enjoys the bright colours and the animal sounds me and my husband make whilst reading the book.

My daughter's favourite book. She enjoy reading elmar (Rainbow Colored) Elephant stories. When ever we go the library, if she finds the Elmar book, she takes it and go through the book. She likes so much that she reads as many times as she like.

Very happy to receive this book from the book trust! My daughter has loved it since she was only a few weeks old and I'm sure it'll remain a favourite as she gets older. The illustrations are lovely and it has such a nice message too. We love Elmer!

Simple! Easy to understand for a 1-3 year old. Wouldn't read to a 4 year old plus.

Quite a nice book to teach about animals in a story style

As soon as I open the first page and read the first line Rudy smiles. He listens until I get to Elmers wisest friend, then he turns away then turns back for the rest of the story. When the book has finished he picks it back up and hands it to me. I read it again and he smiles at the beginning and turns away at the wisest friend. We do this about 4-5 times, every time we read this book.

Aymar enjoyed the book and made the animal sounds of each of Elmer's friends. It's a bright colourful book and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.

I read this to my baby regularly since a few weeks old, it keeps her attention and the story is lovely. I'm sure when she is older she will enjoy this because of the lovely colours and illustrations

This is a beautifully colourful book that really grabs my 8 month old son's attention each time we read it together. He has jungle themed toys, so he likes looking at the lovely animal pictures throughout the book:)

Its a lovely vibrant book, good size for small hands. It has many animals and my toddler son who isnt talking yet waits impatiently for the lion's part so he can roar really loudly. Its his favourite board book definitely.

We were lucky enough to receive this book in our Bookstart bag. My son loves it the bright colours and he likes looking at all the different animals. We are going to buy the rest of the Elmer books and hope that they too will become favourites!

This was one of the first books we read. Our nursery is Elmer themed, because I have always loved Elmer. My son strokes him on every page and Elmer always makes him smile! :)
