Does Dim yn Gyflymach Na'r Tsita / There's Nothing Faster Than a Cheetah

Publisher: Rily

Stori ddoniol, glyfar, llawn lliw bydd plant (a rhieni!) wrth eu bodd yn darllen.  O’r tudalennau cyntaf, sydd yn rhestri cyflymder gwahanol anifeiliaid, mae’r llyfr yma yn bachu diddordeb ac yn sbarduno plant i ddefnyddio’u dychymyg i ddatrys problemau. Yn ganolbwynt i’r stori, mae’r ras i geisio herio’r syniad bod ‘Dim yn Gyflymach Na’r Tsita’. Wrth i anifail ar ôl anifail ceisio a methu curo’r ras, mae’n edrych fel petai'r tsita am fod yn fuddugol, ond daw tro yn y gynffon pan mae’r falwoden o ddechrau’r ras yn dychwelyd! Mae’r defnydd o gyflythrennu a hiwmor yn gwneud y testun yn un bydd plant yn mwynhau troeon ac mae’r diweddglo gwych yn golygu bydd darllenwyr yn bodio trwy’r tudalennau tro ar ôl tro.

A funny, clever and colourful story that children (and parents!) will love to read.  From the very first pages, listing the speeds of different animals, this book grabs the interest of children and spurs them on to use their imagination to solve problems. At the centre of the story is the race to try and challenge the notion that ‘There is nothing faster than the cheetah’. As animal after animal try and fail to win the race, it looks as though the cheetah is going to win, but a twist in the tail comes when the snail from the beginning of the race returns! The use of alliteration and humour ensures that the text will be something children will enjoy over and over and the great ending means that readers will flick through the pages time and time again.
