Binny Bewitched

Book 3

Publisher: Hodder Children’s Books

Review

Binny hasn't even decided what wonderful birthday gift she's going to buy for her mum before she loses the money she's saved. She's sure her twitchy neighbour is a witch, playing havoc with her life.

Masterful writing makes this touching story of family struggles bounce along beautifully. Writer Binny is an immediately endearing character, and there are genuine laughs to be had as her busy family bustle around her. Younger brother James and his friend Dill are particular sources of comedy gold.

McKay makes this look easy but Binny Bewitched is a gorgeously crafted piece of writing that absolutely sparkles. This is the third book starring Binny but can be read as a standalone - and it is completely charming.
