Billionaire Boy
Publisher: HarperCollins Children's Books
Having started from humble origins, Joe’s father is now a billionaire, and Joe has everything he wants, except true friends. To remedy this he enrols at the local comprehensive school, where he learns the hard way that you can’t buy them, and that family and friends are more important than any possessions.
Ross’s inimitable illustrations capture and extend Walliams’ style perfectly. Despite the book’s length, the large print would make it accessible for older but less keen readers, and the touches of satire could also attract that audience, as well as adults.

This book is cool because Joe is a billionaire and has cool stuff like having a racetrack and living in a tower which is visible from the sky.

I thought the book gangsta granny was really good. I just finished the boy in the dress. I think your books are amazing. I think Roald Dahl's books aren't really that good since I've started to read your books.

This book is really weird, but as you get to the end it gets quite sad. I really laugh at some parts of the book and I get quite teary at some parts as well. I would recommend this book to 6+. My favourite part is when Raj does the purple chart and his bum is right at the far end of the list. I really like the word David Walliams made up, which is 'bumjumped'.

I would like to read this book to my kids and they have said that they have read a lot of these books but they haven't read billion boy. They say that David Walliams books are very good and they enjoy reading them.

I didn't really enjoy this book because some of the characters weren't very likeable. I thought the book was funny in parts, but I think some of David Walliams' jokes and amusing characters could have been cleverer.

I felt really sorry for Joe, [main character] as he has no friends and his Father is very mean and stupid. A very heart warming book, full of mistakes and enjoyment.

We have read demon dentist which is quite a dark story if you have a young timid child who is easily scared I would wait, because it could put your child off of the trip to the dentist, now we are reading billionaire boy, and we are enjoying it..... But is it only me who doesn't feel the word SLUT is appropriate in a child's book, yes my child is 8 years and it does state nine years but even at that age or older I don't think it's appropriate language to use, luckily it was my turn to read...
