Tahir creates a vivid ancient world and fills it with believable human characters. Her writing elevates this novel beyond swords and sandals romance and poses difficult moral dilemmas for her protagonists.

This book was a very thrilling, interesting, amazing book. I'm a teenager and it's very hard for me to find many series I like. I found this one and read the two books in the series, so far, in three days! I recommend this for any teen looking for a good book.
