Albert and the Garden of Doom

Albie loves playing football in his garden. The problem is, he's always kicking the ball over the fence to the spooky, weed-infested Garden of Doom next door. He doesn't want to ask for the balls back from his scary neighbour, Mr Creaky, who might be a retired jewel thief, a wizard or even an alien sent to earth to steal a child that is REALLY good at football.

This funny and engaging book is a satisfyingly quick read that also contains the heart-warming message that the scary old man next door might just be someone special. Jamie Littler's colourful illustrations express the character of football-loving Albie and his friends perfectly.
