About this book

The Hambons are a group of three young friends that live in the country. Ianto is a dreamer, with his head in the clouds, Efa can’t think of anything apart from sheep and Llew likes everything to be prim and proper. Even though they are very different, they are the very best of friends and take pride in their nickname ‘The Hambons’, even if only one of them live on a farm!

When all the sheep in the area start to disappear Efa, in particular, is very keen to find the answer, and she decides that the Hambons are the only ones that can solve the mystery. Even though Llew would prefer to stay at home, the three best friends venture into the night to search for the sheep thief. Their wily detective work and a path of sheep poo lead them to the unlikely answer to the problem. This is an excellent book for young readers who are venturing into chapter books. The problem-solving storyline as well as the colourful pictures are sure to prove popular with young readers.

This book is also available in English, as The Mystery of the Sheep.
