About the survey
-
What is the BookTrust Partner Survey?
This year we are asking partners across England to take the survey to help us understand more about the resources we provide and the difference we’re making together.
We’re looking to hear from our early years professionals and settings, libraries, primary schools and virtual schools. We are only asking about our programmes in England this year, but will be opening it up to all our partners in Wales and Northern Ireland next year.
If you’d like to share your experiences with us in the meantime, you can email the team at [email protected].

What does the BookTrust Partner Survey cover?
We want to know what you think of BookTrust’s resources and support, your priorities as an organisation, and how you feel about reading and sharing stories with children and families.
The survey will take no longer than 10 minutes to complete and, as a thank you for your time and contribution, you will have the opportunity to win great prizes including vouchers; bespoke mini libraries; and a storytelling experience with an author, illustrator or poet. We’ve included more detail about these prizes below.

Why is the BookTrust Partner Survey important?
Each year, BookTrust works with over 25,000 partners, supporting families and children from 0-13. We work with partners in Early Years education, libraries, healthcare, social care, schools and many more. Our strong partner network spans every local authority in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and is integral to our mission to support children and families to experience the wide-ranging benefits that reading brings.
We want to hear from you so that we can understand more about:
- the organisations we work with
- your views on the support and resources we provide
- what we can do to further support you
We will also be asking about the priorities and challenges you face, as we want to use our platform to draw attention to the issues facing organisations working with Early Years and vulnerable children.
There are no right and wrong answers, and we welcome any feedback on our work (both positive and negative). The feedback you provide may be used to make changes to our programmes, but no response you give will impact your relationship with BookTrust in any way and there is no obligation to take part in the survey. Nevertheless, we would love to hear from you!

More information about the prize draw
Towards the end of the survey, you will be asked if you want to enter the prize draw and will be prompted to provide your contact information. All participants that consent to entering the prize draw and who provide their contact information will be eligible to win either:
- One of six £100 vouchers from either Amazon orLove2Shop.
- One of six bespoke mini libraries of 30 books, curated by our specialist Books Team.
In addition, we will work with the Bookstart Coordinator from the local authority who returns the most surveys to facilitate a storytelling experience for their area. As part of this prize, BookTrust will put the winning Bookstart Coordinator in touch with a children’s author, illustrator or poet so that you can put on a fun-filled virtual or in-person event for families in your local authority.
We will select the winners from the prize draws once the survey has closed. Please note we may need up to three months following the prize draw to identify a suitable author, illustrator or poet.
