Melrose and Croc Beside the Sea

Publisher: HarperCollins

Little Green Croc is sulking and won't speak to his friend, Melrose the dog. Melrose decides to cheer up his pal. He asks Croc some riddles about the items he is fetching.

At first Croc is snappy, but then he realises that Melrose has collected together a towel, a ball and a bucket for a day of fun at the beach. Now Croc teases Melrose; he pulls his tail, leaps on top of him and dangles wet seaweed on his nose.

The friends have a friendly fight and a chase along the beach and end up in the sea. They walk home together eating ice-creams. This is a delightful, heartwarming story about friendship. The illustrations are big, bright and full of movement.
