Frequently asked questions
Storytelling sessions are enjoyable and beneficial for children, caregivers and even those hosting the session. They provide a great opportunity for connection and engagement whilst supporting the lifelong benefits of reading. Shared reading is a powerful tool for supporting children’s growth. It helps them develop language, curiosity and confidence, and strengthens the bonds between children and their caregivers.
We are looking to expand our Group Storytelling programme over the next 2 years. If you know any early years community groups that might be interested in joining us, please do tell them to get in touch with us at [email protected]
This Group Storytelling programme will run in community settings where early years practitioners already have trusted relationships with families. We are working with Childwise to research how we can support these settings to embed shared reading into their existing provision and refine our approach to the programme as it expands.
We would love to hear how you’re using the stories and resources in your setting. Please get in touch with the team at [email protected] if you would like to share your thoughts or find out more about our research project.
