Identify the barriers families face to reading and communicate key messages to families antenatally and in the first year of a baby’s life to promote the benefits of reading.
Explore the ways that the Bookstart Baby programme is designed to support families to read together.

By completing this module, you will:

Understand the benefits of a group storytelling session for children and families.
Know the key techniques that will help you make group storytelling enjoyable and interactive for everyone.
Have practical tips to set up your session for success, for example book selection, props and adapting to specific groups.
