The winners of the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2023 are here... and we're giving you the chance to get your hands on all three books for your school!

Best Illustrated Book: Gretel the Wonder Mammoth by Kim Hillyard
This lovely picture book introduces us to the last mammoth on Earth - and it's all about friendship and finding the confidence to be ourselves in what sometimes seems like a scary world.
Best Book for Younger Readers: Nura and the Immortal Palace by M. T. Khan
This exciting magical adventure - featuring a headstrong heroine - takes us into the intoxicating world of jinn with strong themes of family, friendship and community.
Best Book for Older Readers AND OVERALL WINNER: The Cats We Meet Along the Way by Nadia Mikail
This is an apocalyptic novel with a difference, as Aisha and her family and friends take one last road trip to reconnect with her sister June, whom she hasn't seen for two years.
