Zoe and Beans: The Magic Hoop
Publisher: Macmillan Childrens Books
The second of Zoe and Beans’ adventures reminds readers that we are often better off as we are rather than what we think we might like to have or be.
When Zoe tries to encourage her dog Beans to jump through a hoop by throwing one of his favourite sweets through, they are amazed to find he has transformed into a rabbit. She tempts him through many times, and he changes into a mouse, a crocodile and an elephant, which, of course, can’t get back through the magic hoop. However by overeating he snaps the hoop and reappears as a dog.
A winning Inkpen collaboration, with a childlike sense of humour (especially about poos), and several more adventures to come.

Learning how it's better to just be you in a fun way. My little girl was very eager to turn each page and find out what beans would turn into next!

This made my 18-month-old giggle to see the different animals Beans becomes after jumping the magic hoop. Lovely illustrations.
